Where will we get the money?

First Fix the Budget- we stop the endless loss of money from a budget system that allows price gouging, increases inflation and by design causes waste, fraud, corruption and abuse. Changing the budget system will return billions now and prevent the continued loss of funds in the future. It will also bring down the cost of living for all Alaskans by reducing price gouging and inflation and increase individual wealth and build the economy by returning the full statutory dividend to all Alaskans.
Remove SB21 and return an ACES model of oil taxes- This will return 2 to 3 billion per year in tax money to our states budget. This money has been going to the oil companies since 2014. That amounts to around 30 billion dollars in lost budget revenue. The legislature has allowed this much money to leave the budget and used their Constitutional Budget Reserve (CBR) and the people's PFD to make up the losses. Let's not give anymore money to the rich oil companies. Let's give it back to the people of Alaska in full PFDs.
Negotiate/Fight For Funds and Land Return- I will negotiate and legally fight if need be for the 90% of natural resources funds agreed to by the federal government in the Alaska Statehood Act (around 8 billian per year). I will also negotiate for the return of some federal lands for home building use for young Alaskans.
State Purchase Prioritize Local- The state will choose local vendors for its own use (e.g., buying Alaskan wood for a state bridge)
Future negotiations- There will be many opportunities for future development. In the future we will negotiate for profit shares, taxes and the promise of jobs. Historically Alaska has traded its natural resources for the promise of jobs only. We can and will do better!
Build the Alaska Resource Development Cooperative Corporation (ARDCC-arctic)- Arctic will be owned and operated by the people of Alaska. It will operate independently of our state government, the PFD and any other state run corporation. It will operate like every other cooperative corporation in the state and will be entitled to the same benefits and protections. Every Alaskan will be a shareholder entitled to corporate dividends that the legislator could not touch. Arctic would allow us to take on jobs that we are interested in like a state refinery to bring down the cost of fuel for Alaskans. For the projects it takes on, it could provide 100% Alaskan jobs, control over production, and operations. But, the most important benefit of having ARDCC would be in negotiations with other corporations. With Arctic, when an outside company suggests that it will not be able to create jobs for us or increase production without tax breaks, we can say "Not a problem. We will see if Arctic is interested. Have a nice day.) We can say goodby to corporate extortion.
New Technology- NO to data centers that will generate little income and destroy our environment. However, we are not opposed to AI as a resource.
YES to Helium airships- We will explore the idea of asking Arctic to build a Helium ship factory. A helium airship is a lighter-than-air aircraft that uses safe, non-flammable helium gas for buoyancy, engines for propulsion, and an envelope to hold the gas. Modern designs focus on eco-friendly cargo transport (as much as 60 tons), with no roads, zero-runway vertical takeoffs, and long-endurance. If we chose to have Arctic develop a He factory, all of the jobs would go to Alaskans, we would have total control over production and operations, and all of the profits would come to Alaska and not go out of state or even out of country. We would be on the ground floor of a cutting edge technology and we could use the ships to access natural resources in our state that cannot be accessed by roads. Helium ships would cut through permitting requirements and we could begin developing remote resources right away. There are always risks. Doing the same things we have been doing may be the most risky of all.
Hydrogen- we will investigate producing hydrogen gas for our state's use and for export. Hydrogen could be produced wherever we currently have hydroelectric projects and other areas. Hydrogen fuel cell–powered engines could be used for ferries and for rural electrical generators. The cost of operations would be less and there would be zero greenhouse gas emissions.
